Hello from Earth! is a program by the Australian science magazine COSMOS. They have created a website to collect messages from internet users. They will use the Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex to transmit these messages to a potentially Earth-like planet named Gliese 581d which is approximately 20 light years away. Users can submit their 160-character messages until August 24th. messages must be in English and you have to register
